NESSE project
As part of the application of the Education and Training 2010 agenda, the European Commission created the European Expert Network on Economics in Education (EENEE) in 2004, and then the Centre for Research on Lifelong Learning (CRELL). The Commission has just signed a contract for the creation of the last network: The European network of experts in the social sciences of education and training (NESSE).
NESSE is a European think tank funded by the European Commission, General-Directorate for Education and Culture. The network is coordinated by INRP under the leadership of Roger Dale (Bristol University).
The network supports policy development at European level through the provision of knowledge and expertise as to the role that education and training are likely to play in modern European societies.
A dedicated website will soon be available.
